Ember is the last of a race of dragons and shifters. She's a dragon shifter, hailed from a line blessed to take the form of the mighty winged beasts. Twelve years ago the shifters were slaughtered by the human king to the south. All she's ever wanted is the chance at revenge. Raised as a thief, a job gone wrong forces her to submit before the same king or face years of torture in his sadistic prison. 

 

Tasked with stealing two magical items: the Ghoul king's bone crown and the dwarven heart stone, she'll do what she must for a chance at watching the King of Rosemar's blood spill red, but there is only one problem. Her partner for these missions is the oh-so-charming Captain of the Guard, brother to the King. 

 

Love and revenge war in her heart as she begins falling for the brother of the man she's wanted to stab through the heart since that fateful day.
